Endometrial cancers are most commonly identified as adenocarcinomas. They fall into two clinicopathologic subtypes: Type I (endometrioid and mucinous carcinomas) is related to hyperestrogenism by association with endometrial hyperplasia, frequent expression of estrogen and progesterone receptors and younger age.
