This tutorial shows you how to manually set up PyroMark CpG assays in the PyroMark Q48 software using assay information provided on GeneGlobe. You will learn how to locate the required sequence data, transfer it into the software, and generate a correct assay setup for accurate CpG methylation analysis.
Step-by-step guidance on manually setting up PyroMark CpG assays in the PyroMark Q48 software using sequence data from GeneGlobe.
Unlike PyroMark Q24, Q24 Advanced, or Q96 instruments — where assay setup files can be downloaded directly — PyroMark Q48 assays must be configured manually. The required Sequence to analyze is available on the GeneGlobe product page and must be copied into the PyroMark Q48 software during assay creation. This tutorial explains where to find this information and how to use it correctly to ensure reliable and reproducible CpG methylation results.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to:
Navigate to the PyroMark CpG assay product page on GeneGlobe and open the Product Specifications section.
Scroll to the bottom of the product page, highlight the Sequence to Analyze, and copy it to your clipboard.
Use the software’s built-in function to automatically calculate the dispensation order based on the entered sequence.
Save the completed assay file for future use. This ensures a repeatable and consistent workflow for your experiments.
No prior experience with PyroMark Q48 assay configuration is required.
If you have questions about assay setup, sequence interpretation, or instrument compatibility, QIAGEN Technical Services can provide expert support.
