Lztr1 Gene Summary [Mouse]

This gene encodes a member of the BR-C, ttk and bab-kelch superfamily that, in humans, localizes to the Golgi network and is associated with the ras / mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. Loss-of-function mutations in the human ortholog are associated with glioblastoma multiforme, schwannomatosis, Noonan syndrome, and DiGeorge syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]

Protein Domains

A protein domain is a distinct structural or functional region within a protein that can evolve, function, and exist independently of the rest of the protein chain. These domains in mouse Lztr1 often fold into stable, three-dimensional structures and are associated with specific biological functions, such as binding to DNA, other proteins, or small molecules.
