Is active in cholinergic synapse and postsynaptic specialization membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; eye; genitourinary system; nervous system; and thymus. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in cocaine abuse; lung cancer (multiple); nicotine dependence; and oral cavity cancer.
