Acts upstream of or within intracellular signal transduction; negative regulation of cell differentiation; and regulation of RNA metabolic process. Located in cytosol and nucleus. Part of CCR4-NOT complex and ribonucleoprotein complex. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; early conceptus; genitourinary system; and hemolymphoid system gland. Used to study rheumatoid arthritis.
