Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; brain; genitourinary system; hemolymphoid system gland; and liver and biliary system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in inflammatory bowel disease 19 and tuberculosis. Orthologous to human IRGM (immunity related GTPase M).
