Used to study BH4-deficient hyperphenylalaninemia B. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including BH4-deficient hyperphenylalaninemia B; diabetic angiopathy; movement disease (multiple); sickle cell anemia; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
